The Responsible Adult Course was developed by Westcoast Child Care to meet the requirements for 20
hours “Responsible Adult” training as stipulated by Child Care Regulation. Through interactive sessions, it
covers basic concepts about child development from birth to 12 years of age, child guidance, health,
safety, nutrition and programming. This training is an asset if you’re interested in seeking employment in
the following areas:
Occasional Licensed Child Care
School-Age Licensed Group Child Care
Family Child Care
Starting Your Own Family Child Care
Working as a replacement or substitute/casual on-call for ECE Assistants for a maximum of 30 days
