Identifying and Removing Barriers: We Can All Play!

In this workshop, participants will learn to identify and realize some challenges that young children experience as they attempt to fully participate and engage in child care settings. These barriers can sometimes create behaviours that challenge even the most experienced early childhood educators.
Participants will further understand how to identify some of the issues that children may have with their environment; with the materials provided, the adults guiding their learning and/or, their play attempts with their peers. We will discuss strategies and approaches that can mitigate these barriers to inclusion of all children.
