Child Care Providers

NSCR offers a variety of training, workshops, resources and support for those interested in employment in the early childhood field or for early childhood educators and managers of child care facilities. Whether you are looking to start a Licensed Family Child Care, an In-Home Multiage Day Care, or a Registered License Not Required Day Care, we can provide training, support and assistance to ensure you are prepared to offer safe, quality child care to the North Shore community.

For Families

Use the North Shore Child Care Directory tool to explore licensed and registered child care providers across the North Shore or check out the drop-in programs offered.

Workshops

CCRR workshops and courses support the implementation of the BC Early Learning Framework, Schedule G of the BC Child Care Licensing Regulation and the Early Childhood Educators of BC Code of Ethics.

Lending Library

NSCR provides free access to a library of books, toys, equipment and other resources that support culturally diverse, appropriate and inclusive education and care for children.

Supporting the well-being of kids and families

As a leader in child care and early childhood development, our programs and services  enhance child care and the quality of family life by providing support and education to the early childhood community.

Our North Shore Child Care Resource and Referral Program (CCRR) provides assistance and training to child care providers, early childhood educators, and families to find quality, affordable child care. Workshops, newsletters, drop-in programs and other services allow kids, families, early childhood educators and providers to connect and learn.

Our Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) supports the healthy development of young children and families facing challenging life circumstances. Our program includes free fun and educational activities such as parent workshops, information on community events, family drop-in programs, parent-led groups, and Free Things to Do With Your Baby or Child on the North Shore flyer. To register or learn more about CAPC, please contact our CAPC coordinator, Fariba Aghdassi, at fariba.aghdassi@nscr.ca or out parent community liaison, Julie Ngo at julie.ngo@nscr.ca.

Let us know how we can assist you.

The Mother Goose program was essential for me to learn tools to deal with my fussy baby, like singing and rhyming, and also to teach him new skills.
