WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: PART 2 This is part 2 of the series. Built entirely of immigrants, Canada is a mosaic that welcomes well over 300,000 families a year. It is thus imperative that we, as Educators, bridge professional silos, address systemic discrepancies and learn to appreciate diversity.
Participants will acquire the following:
- To acknowledge the unique challenges newcomer families and children experience;
- To customize policy such that people of diverse backgrounds and experiences feel welcomed; and
- To identify and bridge gaps that exist among neurodivergent newcomers and community services.
Service Types: Education, Families & Youth, Immigration,
