What:
Curious how to engage children aged 6 through 12? This workshop is geared towards educators working in before and after school care with elementary school children. This workshop focuses on activities, room set up, developmental considerations, behaviour management and techniques to have a welcoming and stimulating environment for older children! Participants can expect to leave this workshop with new ideas to bring to their program and a deeper understanding of the 6-12 age group.
Workshop presented by Ashleigh Davies:
Ashleigh Davies is an early childhood educator with her bachelor’s in Early Childhood Care and Education and has worked with children in a variety of roles over the last several years. Ashleigh has worked as a post-secondary instructor, leading ECE post-basic courses, and currently is the assistant manager & municipal consultant with CCRR at North Shore Community Resources. She runs several workshops throughout BC and in each of her workshops she brings her passion for inclusivity, social justice, and importance of early childhood education.
