Join Kathleen Tonnesen as she shares tips on how to enhance
your drama, storytelling, and
circle time activities. No experience
required. A participatory workshop with
step-by-step instruction of foundational
magic techniques and direction as to how
to incorporate magic into your planning. A
myriad of skills is homed in the domain of
magic play: Children develop critical
thinking skills by observing magic tricks
and they extend their language vocabulary
as well as dramatic skills while performing
magic tricks under your guidance – without
you giving the trick away!
Suitable for ECE students, intermediate
and experienced early care and learning
professionals working with children of all
ages, from infants/toddlers to school age
children, including children with extra
support needs

The NSCR Community Room is located on the second floor of Capilano Mall next to NSCR’s office. The room is located down a hallway between NSCR’s office and the entrance to mall parking. Occasionally the glass doors to the Community Room are locked. If you have any issues located or accessing the Community Room please contact us.
