  • Loving the Outdoors Through Literature with Tricia Edgar
     4 June 2026
     6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Books can take us far away, into the forests and mud puddles of our imagination. In this workshop, connect stories about animals, plants, and wild places to outdoor activities and discover how you can use literature to bring children outside to explore!

Thursday, June 4th, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Address: NSCR Community Room, 935 Marine Drive – Suite 203

About the presenter: Tricia Edgar grew up in the West Coast rainforest, where she spent her childhood immersed in imaginary worlds. Storytelling has been a foundation of her life ever since. In 2011, she helped to create Fresh Air Learning, one of the first nature schools in Canada. Working outside with children fostered her enjoyment of oral storytelling, and today she teaches educators about learning in nature through story.
