BIO:  Belva has been teaching preschool for the last 10 years. 5 years ago she discovered outdoor education and has never looked back. In 2017 Belva opened Muddy Boot Prints, an outdoor early learning program in Vancouver with 3 programs for children aged 2.5-6 yrs. Belva has been very involved in working towards getting outdoor education licensed in BC for the last 4 years as well and feels that the outdoor movement is finally gaining the momentum to get all children outside and into nature.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:  Ever wonder what it is like to be an outdoor educator? For real? in this workshop, you’ll be led through a day in the life of an outdoor educator and all that it entails. You’ll find out the great parts, hear about the hard parts and all of the joy in between. There is a magical world to discover and explore outside with children and if we follow their lead, they’ll let us know where to go. We will participate in engaging conversation as Belva shares her love and passion for outdoor education with young children
